Homemade Peach Ice Cream

6:35 PM
Homemade Peach Ice Cream, bits of chopped peaches swirled in a rich homemade vanilla ice cream mixture made with sweetened condensed milk. Now you know why it is a family favorite.

My daughter Jennifer makes a regular trip to Pittsburg, Texas each year around her birthday in June to Efurd Orchards to get fresh peaches.

I created this recipe from her Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream recipe. The recipe will make enough ice cream for a 6-quart ice cream freezer.

Even though we make this recipe several times in the summer, this recipe is good to make any time of the year!

Peach season is upon us so I hope you get to make some soon.  Enjoy!

Homemade Peach Ice Cream
Printable Recipe
    8 eggs
    2 cups sugar
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    2 cans eagle brand milk
    2 cans evaporated milk
    2 tablespoons vanilla
    1/2 cups fresh peaches pureed
    Whole milk
With an electric mixer using a wire whisk beat eggs and sugar until fluffy.

Add salt, eagle brand milk, evaporated milk, vanilla, and peaches and beat until the sugar is dissolved and all the ingredients are mixed well.

Pour into freezer container and add milk until fill line on the container is reached. DO NOT OVER FILL.

Freeze according to manufacturer's directions for your freezer. Makes 6-quarts ice cream.

This looks delicious! Thanks for adding it to my linky! :)

I've never made homemade ice cream and have seen so many bloggers make their own. Next summer, I'm definitely going to buy an ice cream maker!

    1. Yes...the eggs are raw! My family doesn't have a problem with raw eggs in homemade ice cream, but if it is a problem you can cook the custard on the stove and cool down before filling the ice cream freezer container.
