Chocolate Drizzled Cherry Delights are full of cherries and chopped walnuts with a drizzle of Ghirardelli milk chocolate. You could say this is a WIN WIN cookie.
I make these around Christmas, and since I didn't get to post them, I thought they would also be a great Valentine cookie treat.
Don't get ready for this to be a long list of ingredients for these wonderful cookies.
I did something I rarely do, and that is to use a bought cookie mix. I used a package of Betty Crocker's Sugar Cookie Mix.
These can also be made using a package of the Betty Crocker's Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix.
How about some more chocolate deliciousness?

Ingredients:
- 1 pouch (1 lb 1.5 oz) Betty Crocker's sugar cookie mix, reserve 1/3 cup
16 oz. candied cherries, cut in half
1 cup walnuts, coarsely chopped
8 oz. Ghirardelli milk chocolate, melted
Toss cherries with remaining cookie mix; add walnuts and toss until cherries and walnuts are coated well with cookie mix.
Fold in prepared cookie dough until well blended being careful not to mash the cherries as much as possible.
Using a 1-inch scoop, scoop and drop cookie dough onto an ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes or until cookies are set and still pale in color.
Remove from the oven and let set 5 minutes, and then remove cookies onto a rack to cool. When cookies are cooled, drizzle with chocolate. Makes 2 dozen.
A "Little" Tidbit
