Baked Pumpkin Stew is a flavorful beef stew cooked and served in a sugar pie pumpkin. When serving, raise the ladle up with the stew scraping the sides of the pumpkin being sure to get a generous serving of pumpkin. A true taste of Fall! To celebrate the Fall, pumpkin is so hot these days, and almost anything can be made with it. When I grew up in the 60s, pumpkin pie and pumpkin bread were the most popular recipes to make. These days that is not the case.

Old School Fried Biscuits {aka Camp Biscuits at our house!}
Camp Biscuits have been around my house ever since I was a little girl, then I started making them for my children on Saturday morning. We make them here at the house, when we are camping, and at the deer lease. These make delicious and quick beignets! Just cut them in half, fry them, and dust with powdered sugar. Another great idea is when you serve Chinese, finish out your meal with some of these Fried Biscuits rolled in sugar only . And you will feel as though you are at your favorite Chinese restaurants.

German Chocolate Cheesecake Cake
German Chocolate Cheesecake Cake , is made with a german chocolate cake mix for the cake, and the rest is homemade, including the coconut pecan frosting. German Chocolate, anything around our house, is a favorite. And cheesecake, well, you have the best of both worlds when you bring those two together.

Crockpot Roast New Potatoes and Carrots {Has The Flavors of a Classic Pot Roast}
Crockpot Roast New Potatoes and Carrots are one of the meals I cooked a lot while we were in the hotel this summer as our house was being repaired. Cooking in the crockpot is more out of convenience for me than anything else, but in the hotel, we didn't have an oven so, the crockpot was perfect. I usually put my roast in the crockpot before I go to bed at night and cook it on low all night. Get up the next morning and turn it to warm. And two or three hours before serving it, I put the potatoes and carrots in and turn to high. Don't you just love these one pot meals!
