To celebrate the last few days of summer, we are planning our Labor Day weekend with an America theme potluck, including a backyard BBQ, spectacular pasta salads, easy side dishes that require little cooking time, and for dessert no churn ice cream.
It took me a while to get on the no churn ice cream wagon. I wish I had joined in on the fun way to make ice cream a long time ago.
Sometimes in the summer, I get an overwhelming desire to buy every kind of fresh fruit I see in the grocery store. As soon as I see fresh strawberries in abundance and low price, I want to buy a case of them. And I do.
Then I am trying to make all the recipes we love using fresh strawberries, salads, fruit salads, quick breads, cakes, cookies, and pies.
Since making no churn ice cream this summer, I love to roast the fresh strawberries first, chop them and then fold them in syrup and all. Oh! My! So delicious.
It only takes 3 ingredients to make this remarkable ice cream, slow roasted strawberries, heavy whipping cream, and sweetened condensed milk.
Easy to make, no cooking, no eggs, and the best....No ice cream maker needed.

Slow Roasted Strawberry No Churn Ice Cream
An intense, bold strawberry flavor created by roasting fresh strawberries and incorporating them into a no churn ice cream recipe.

ingredients
- Slow Roasted Strawberries Recipe
- 1 pint heavy whipping cream
- 14 oz. sweetened condensed milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
instructions
- Place cream in the bowl of stand mixer. Using the whisk attachment whip cream until thick and creamy.
- Fold sweetened condensed milk into the whipped cream mixture until mixed well.
- Chop the roasted strawberries slightly and fold into the ice cream mixture.
- Pour ice cream mixture into a 6 cup plastic ice cream container.
- Cover with plastic wrap and freeze 6-8 hours or overnight.
- Before serving, remove from the freezer for 10-15 minutes or until slightly softened to scoop into serving bowls or cones
