Cookie trays are the perfect dessert around the holidays because they can be made in advance and are easy to serve with little fanfare. They are the star on the table of any gathering. My daughter-in-law, Brandy, adapted this recipe for White Chocolate Cherry Nut Cookies from my recipe for Chocolate Drizzled Cherry Delights . She came up with the idea to add white chocolate chips and pecans to the cookie batter and drizzle white chocolate over them. Turns out I really like these over the chocolate ones. Since there are some in the family that prefers the chocolate ones, that's the reason you make both and let everyone choose for themselves. These White Chocolate Cherry Nut Cookies are soft and chewy with chunks of white chocolate, chopped candied cherries, and crunchy pecans in a Betty Crocker sugar cookie mix. These cookies are so easy and quick to make. Don't underestimate the flavor and richness of this holiday cookie. ...

Coconut Macaroons {An Easy and Tasty Recipe using Eagle Brand Condensed Milk}
Coconut Macaroons are an elegant cookie, yet easy and almost effortless to make. This classic macaroon is made with a few ingredients, sweetened condensed milk, coconut, and egg whites. Whisk everything together and scoop them out on a baking sheet. How easy is that? They are wonderfully delicious! The traditional macaroon has been around for eons. I think it is my favorite, but who says you can't mess with perfection and place a chocolate kiss in the center to make Macaroon Kisses. Or dip the bottom in chocolate and drizzle chocolate over the top, or even add a cherry in the center to make them look cute. Hope you enjoy the recipe! Merry Christmas !
Millionaire Fudge
Millionaire Fudge is the perfect old fashioned recipe that will make everyone want to go down memory lane for grandma's fudge recipes. GRANNY'S MILLIONAIRE FUDGE RECIPE This Millionaire Fudge recipe is super easy to make, with no thermometer required, and will exceed all your expectations of having the perfect homemade fudge. Millionaire Fudge is my favorite fudge of all time. It is only the most incredibly scrumptious fudge you will ever eat. In the 1950s, Mamie Eisenhower introduced marshmallow whip creme to fudge recipes, changing the whole concept of how easy it is to make, not to mention how delicious it is. I grew up helping my Mother make this fudge every year for Christmas. We looked forward to helping scoop the fudge with a tablespoon and push the fudge out with another onto wax paper. As soon as we were all finished, we would take the spoons and scrape every little bit of fudge we could possibly get off the sides of the pan. You haven't lived until you have...

Mexican Pot Roast
Mexican Pot Roast is a pot roast with a spicy twist. Most grocery stores carry all the ingredients, such as pork roast, jalapenos, Rotel tomatoes, and spices. MEXICAN POT ROAST Mexican Pot Roast is a recipe that offers many possibilities for weeknight meals, including burritos, tacos, enchiladas, and more. The holidays are just a few days away, and I wanted to share a great recipe to cook in a crockpot. With some of the b-u-s-i-n-e-s-s that come with the holidays, cooking dinner is sometimes hard to get done. Around our house, my girls love to get in the kitchen a couple of days before Thanksgiving and make up a bunch, and I mean a bunch of pie crust for our Thanksgiving pies. We even prepare some of our side dishes and freeze them for the big day. With all of that going on, it is hard to put a meal on the table, so I like to cook in my crockpot.
Stew in a Pumpkin {Baked and served in a pumpkin}
Baked Pumpkin Stew is a flavorful beef stew cooked and served in a sugar pie pumpkin. When serving, raise the ladle up with the stew scraping the sides of the pumpkin being sure to get a generous serving of pumpkin. A true taste of Fall! To celebrate the Fall, pumpkin is so hot these days, and almost anything can be made with it. When I grew up in the 60s, pumpkin pie and pumpkin bread were the most popular recipes to make. These days that is not the case.

Old School Fried Biscuits {aka Camp Biscuits at our house!}
Camp Biscuits have been around my house ever since I was a little girl, then I started making them for my children on Saturday morning. We make them here at the house, when we are camping, and at the deer lease. These make delicious and quick beignets! Just cut them in half, fry them, and dust with powdered sugar. Another great idea is when you serve Chinese, finish out your meal with some of these Fried Biscuits rolled in sugar only . And you will feel as though you are at your favorite Chinese restaurants.
